The Welder-Outer Prop Welding Machine is a dedicated fabrication system for the outer tubes of adjustable scaffolding props (size 0 to size 4 Acro props). Outer prop pipes require structural welding at two critical points: attaching the base plate at the bottom and fixing the threaded collar or sleeve at the top. Manual welding of these joints produces irregular beads that interfere with telescopic clearance. This automated machine incorporates dual pneumatic clamping stations and an adjustable-speed rotary spindle that holds the 60.3 mm OD outer tube concentric throughout rotation. The welding torch delivers consistent circular fillet welds around the base plate and threaded sleeve, ensuring the finished prop withstands rated design compressive loads up to 40 kN under BS 4074 / EN 1065 test conditions. Key Features Dual Joint Capability: Setup allows welding the square base plate at one station and the externally threaded collar at the opposing station. Hollow Spindle Pneumatic Chuck: Fast pneumatic actuation clamps tubes up to 65 mm OD without slippage during high-torque rotary movement. Automatic Arc Length Regulation: Torch slide maintains steady tip-to-work distance over slight variations in pipe ovality or plate thickness. Heavy-Gauge Structural Bed: Stress-relieved steel channel base maintains bed squareness and spindle alignment over years of high-volume usage. Adjustable Support Trolleys: Roller-bearing support stands handle outer tube lengths from 1.0 m up to 4.0 m with zero tube droop.
