The Scaffolding Horizontal Ledger Welding Machine is engineered for dedicated fabrication of ledger tubes used in modular scaffolding systems. Hand welding of ledger blades or cast ends frequently causes angular deflection and weld porosity, leading to rejected batches during structural proof testing. This automated machine delivers consistent circular welds with deep root penetration on 48.3 mm nominal OD pipes. Equipped with an industrial rotary spindle, pneumatic tailstock, and dual welding torch carriers, the unit clamps the cut-to-length tube firmly on its center axis. Motorized rotation past the torch nozzles produces clean, uniform weld beads around the full circumference without stopping or restart cold laps, completing each ledger assembly within 30 to 45 seconds. Key Features Automated Circular Welding Cycle: One-touch push-button operation clamps the ledger, starts arc ignition, rotates 360 degrees plus overlap, and craters out cleanly. Dual Torch Positioning Slides: Precision cross-slides allow micrometer-level adjustment of torch angle, wire stick-out, and arc placement relative to the pipe joint. Sturdy Fabricated Steel Bed: Normalized channel and plate construction prevents vibration chatter and holds spindle-to-tailstock alignment over long production shifts. Pneumatic Tailstock Action: Rapid-retract pneumatic tailstock speeds up workpiece loading and unloading, reducing operator fatigue. Integrated Anti-Spatter Features: Copper heat sinks and protective sleeves prevent spatter adhesion on clamping jaws and locating pins.
