The Horizontal Band Saw Machine by National Cutting Tools is a production metal-cutting saw designed for straight and mitred sawing of solid steel bars, heavy-wall pipes, structural hollow sections, and bundle profiles. Traditional abrasive cut-off saws generate excessive heat, wide kerf loss, sparks, and heavy burrs; our horizontal band saw uses thin bi-metal blades to produce clean, square, cold cuts with minimal swarf waste and low electrical consumption. Featuring a heavy cast-iron or fabricated saw bow pivoting on precision bearings, the machine utilizes a hydraulic downfeed cylinder for infinitely variable feed rate control. A high-efficiency worm reduction gearbox drives the blade across step-pulley or inverter-controlled speeds, enabling optimal blade speeds for cutting mild steel, structural steel, stainless steel, and alloy round bars. Key Features Thin-Kerf Bi-Metal Blade Economy: Narrow band saw blade kerf (approx. 1.2 mm) saves significant raw material compared to abrasive cutting wheels. Hydraulic Regulated Downfeed: Infinitely adjustable hydraulic damper valve provides steady, controlled cutting pressure through solid bars and pipes. Heavy Quick-Clamp Vise: Rigid mechanical or hydraulic clamping vise securely grips single pieces or multi-bar bundles. Tungsten Carbide Blade Guides: Precision carbide guide blocks with ball-bearing pre-guides keep the blade true, preventing cut taper. Automatic End-of-Cut Shutoff: Limit switch stops blade rotation and coolant flow immediately when the cut is completed. High-Capacity Flood Coolant: Electric coolant pump flushes chips from blade teeth and cools the cut interface to maximize blade life.
