In certified pressure vessel welding, pipeline construction, and structural steel fabrication, manual torch beveling leaves irregular slag-encrusted bevels that require extensive grinding and cause weld root defects during ultrasonic or X-ray inspection; this mechanical beveling machine shears or rotary-mills smooth, uniform weld bevel angles. Featuring an adjustable milling or rotary shearing cutter head, the machine produces standard 30-degree, 37.5-degree, and 45-degree weld prep bevels with consistent root face (land) dimensions. Operating with high cutting speed and low thermal input, the machine creates cold, oxidation-free bevel surfaces ready for immediate MIG, TIG, or submerged arc welding without secondary grinding.
