The Friction Screw Press by National Cutting Tools is a heavy-duty forging and coining machine tool engineered for hot forging, warm pressing, and cold coining of steel components. In scaffolding component manufacturing, forged fittings such as drop-forged swivel couplers, double couplers, and Cuplock ledger blades require immense impact energy combined with high dead-weight pressing force to fill complex die impressions without forging cracks or incomplete fill. Constructed with a heavy cast steel frame and high-tensile tie rods, the machine features a large-diameter forged alloy screw with multi-start threads, a heavy friction flywheel, and dual motorized friction driving discs. When the operating lever is engaged, the friction discs accelerate the flywheel and screw downward, delivering massive kinetic energy at bottom dead center to forge tough alloy steel billets into net-shape components.
