Bolt Cum Pipe Threading Machines by National Cutting Tools are dual-purpose industrial machine tools designed for workshops that require versatility without purchasing separate dedicated bolt and pipe threading units. Solid bars require fine lead-screw feed and heavy radial cutting pressure, while hollow pipes need self-centering chucking that does not crush thin tube walls; our dual-purpose machines incorporate interchangeable vise jaws and speed ranges to handle both workloads efficiently. Featuring a heavy-duty bed, a multi-speed geared headstock, and an adjustable tangential die head, the machine cuts threads on solid steel bolts and studs up to M65 / 2.1/2" diameter as well as nominal bore pipes from 1/2" to 2.1/2". Switching between bolt threads (metric, BSW, UNC) and pipe threads (BSP, NPT) requires only changing the chaser set and engaging the appropriate lead or taper cam. Key Features Dual Capability Vise & Tooling: Specially contoured hardened jaws clamp both solid round bars and thin-wall hollow tubes without slipping or crushing. All-Geared Headstock Transmission: Precision-hobbed alloy steel gears running in oil provide high low-speed torque for heavy bolt threading and faster speeds for pipe work. Universal Tangential Die Head: Single head accepts standard tangential chaser sets for metric, imperial BSW/UNC, and tapered or parallel pipe threads. Lead Screw & Manual Rack Feed: Lead screw engagement guarantees precise pitch on high-tensile solid bolts, while rack feed allows rapid pipe production. Automatic Trip & Die Release: Mechanically trips the die head open at the preset length to protect threads and tooling during carriage return.
