The Automatic Thread Cutting Machine is an automated manufacturing solution engineered to eliminate manual handling during external thread production on fasteners, studs, and tubular blanks. Manual threading machines require continuous operator intervention to engage feed, monitor thread stop, and retract the carriage; this automated system cycles through clamping, feed, cutting, die opening, and rapid carriage return automatically. Constructed on a heavy vibration-damping cast iron bed, the machine utilizes a high-torque three-speed headstock and a self-opening die head equipped with four tangential high-speed steel chasers. The rigid spindle and positive lead-screw or hydraulic feed guarantee pitch accuracy across metric (M12 to M65), Whitworth (BSW), UNC, and BSP thread series with zero pitch drift. Key Features Hands-Free Automated Threading Cycle: Push-button start clamps workpiece, feeds carriage, cuts full-depth thread, and returns saddle to home position. Tangential Chaser Geometry: Tangential cutters cut on their end face, allowing multiple regrinds along their entire length for exceptional consumable economy. Three Spindle Speed Settings: 30, 60, and 90 RPM selections ensure optimal surface feet per minute across diverse material grades from mild steel to alloy steel. Heavy Cast Bed & Hardened Ways: Resists cutting forces and prevents bed twist, maintaining tight class 6g / 2A thread tolerances over long shifts. Automatic Lubrication & Swarf Separation: High-pressure oil pump flushes swarf into an easily accessible chip collection basket with settling baffles.
