Questions about the gst calculator
Which GST rate applies to my product?
It depends on the HSN or SAC code of the product or service. Check the rate on the GST portal or with your tax adviser; this calculator only does the arithmetic for the rate you choose.
When do I charge CGST and SGST, and when IGST?
For a sale where the place of supply is in your own state, the tax is split equally into CGST and SGST. For a sale to another state, the whole tax is IGST.
How do I take GST out of a price that includes it?
Choose "Price includes GST". The taxable value is the price × 100 ÷ (100 + rate), and the GST is the difference.
